Job summary

Ibec in Dublin seeks a policy professional to support its Digital Economy Policy agenda, working with the Head of Digital Economy Policy and overseeing the Digital and AI Affairs Committee and Cyber Taskforce.   • Hold a primary degree in a relevant discipline; additional postgraduate/professional qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of digitalised sectors, digital policy and regulations; clear understanding of issues driving the debate.
  • Circa 3 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, writing, networking, and IT skills.
  • Lobbying/advocacy experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement work programmes with guidance of the Head of Digital Economy Policy, the Committee and the Cyber Taskforce to deliver agreed objectives.
  • Coordinate the Committee and its working groups, enable and deliver effective meetings, events and engagement for Ibec and members on digital, cyber and AI affairs.
  • Analyse, drive, and respond to developments in policy, legislation, regulation, standards and best practice.
  • Provide insights and information to members on developments in designated areas and respond to members’ queries.
  • Develop and deliver business perspectives on designated areas by engaging and coordinating members’ inputs.
  • Manage online content and social media engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to raise the profile and reputation of Ibec, the Committee and its working groups.

JOB DETAILS

Ibec is seeking a professional to support its networks and work closely with the Head of Digital Economy Policy to deliver its digital, cyber, and AI agenda. Key to this effort are Ibec’s Digital and AI Affairs Committee and Cyber Taskforce, which bring together key stakeholders to shape national and EU policy, advise Government, and strengthen Ireland's position as a resilient digital economy.

The role involves guiding Ibec members through the digital transition by promoting trust, awareness, and capacity building to enable further adoption and innovation with digital and AI tools across Irish enterprise.

The closing date for applications will be 3pm on 16th October 2026.

ABOUT THE ROLE

1. Work ProgrammeDevelopment

  • Developand implementwork programmes withtheguidance ofthe Head of Digital Economy Policy, the Committee and the Cyber Taskforceto:
    • Deliveragreedobjectives,supportingIbecmembers andoverarching Ibec(Organisational)strategicobjectivesand/orinitiatives,in line with agreed budgetary requirements.
    • Work collaboratively across theIbecorganisation/networksonCommittee and Organisationalinitiatives asappropriate.

2. Service/Work ProgrammeDelivery

  • Work collaborativelyand contributeto:
    • Build,maintain,and extendeffective relationships withinternal customers (the Committee,sectors,andmembers)and external international and national digital policy stakeholdersand influencers.
    • Coordinatethe Committeeand its working groups, enable and deliver effective meetings, events,and engagementfor Ibec and memberson digital, cyber and AI affairs.
    • Analyse, drive, and respond to developments in designated areassuch as policy,legislation, regulation, standards,andbest practice.
    • Provideinsights andinformation to members ondevelopmentsin designated areas and respond to members’ queries.
    • Developand deliverbusiness perspectiveson designated areasby engaging and coordinating members’ inputs.
    • Manageonlinecontent and social media engagement.
    • Identifyopportunities to raise the profile and reputation of Ibec, the Committee and its working groups.

3.Governanceand Financial Management

  • Contribute,withthe Head of Digital Economy Policy,to:
    • Articulateand communicateour value proposition tomembers.
    • SupportKey Account Management (KAM)processesforIbec sectors/members.
    • Oversee governance of thework programme.
