Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose in Ireland. The role reports to the Cook and Dietary supervisor and involves learning routines, setting up meal trays, washing dishes, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine quickly.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine.
• Observe water temperatures during dishwashing cycles.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely.
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary; assist cooks and supervisors.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
