Job summary

Armorum Limited is recruiting Diesel Engine Mechanics for its two Co. Dublin facilities. You will diagnose, service and overhaul diesel engines for heavy equipment, cranes, trucks and generators, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

  • Trade qualification or apprenticeship as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with heavy-duty diesel engines.
  • Experience servicing engines from Liebherr, Caterpillar, Cummins and MTU.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostics, hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read manuals, schematics and service bulletins.
  • Proficient with diagnostic and calibration tools.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Job Description

Our client, Armorum Limited, based in Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Diesel Engine Mechanics for immediate start at their two facilities in Co. Dublin.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, service, repair, and overhaul diesel engines used in heavy equipment, cranes, trucks, generators, and industrial machinery.
  • Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines and related components in heavy equipment and vehicles.
  • Conduct engine overhauls, rebuilds, and component replacements in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and tune‑ups to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic software, tools, and technical manuals.
  • Service and repair engine systems including fuel injection, turbocharging, exhaust, and cooling systems.
  • Work with major engine brands such as Liebherr, Caterpillar, Cummins, and MTU.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records using company systems or service reports.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with supervisors and parts departments to ensure timely completion of repairs and availability of components.
Qualifications
  • Trade qualification or apprenticeship completion as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience working with heavy‑duty diesel engines in a field‑service role.
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing engines from leading brands Liebherr, Caterpillar, Cummins, and MTU.
  • Strong understanding of engine diagnostics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic and calibration tools.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Compensation

Annual Remuneration: €56,784.00; Pay Rate €28.00 per hour
