Job summary

Ingenio is partnering with an innovative Irish technology company in Dublin at the intersection of AI, scientific computing and drug discovery to hire a DevOps Engineer. This hands-on builder role lets you create the infrastructure that supports compute‑intensive R&D—from CI/CD and containerisation to automation and observability.

You’ll own parts of the stack and collaborate with the CTO and R&D team on architecture and scalability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE experience.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting abilities.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker/Podman).
• Experience with observability and monitoring stacks.
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible) experience.

This is a hands-on builder role. You’ll help create the infrastructure that supports compute-intensive R&D — from CI/CD and containerisation to automation and observability.

What you’ll do

• Build CI/CD pipelines from the ground up
• Create and manage containerised environments with Docker/Podman
• Build monitoring, logging and alerting systems
• Automate infrastructure and engineering workflows
• Troubleshoot and optimise Linux-based infrastructure
• Partner with the CTO and R&D team on architecture and scalability

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SRE
• Strong hands‑on experience with Docker, Docker Compose or Podman
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins
• Strong Linux fundamentals – shell scripting, networking, systemd and storage
• Experience with monitoring and observability, such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience, ideally Ansible
• Python scripting and automation skills
• A self‑directed mindset – comfortable building, troubleshooting and owning infrastructure end‑to‑end
