Job Description:

Galway Community Circus seeks to appoint a Development Coordinator to support the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy, increase income generation, and diversify funding streams to help us deliver upon our artistic ambitions across an exciting portfolio of programmes and partnerships.

Following our, we aim to grow our earned income in order to balance core funding, project funding, and earned income.

This full-time role has been created as part of a program by Business to Arts in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media. The successful candidate will participate in workshops, trainings, and mentoring sessions, joining a peer network of fundraising professionals supported by Business to Arts. The Fellowship aims to provide training and professional development to enhance long-term careers in fundraising and development within the Irish cultural sector.

Terms of Employment

Salary: €30,000 – €35,000 per annum based on experience

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, including a daily paid 0.5-hour lunch break. Hours may vary during busy periods, with occasional weekend and evening work. Holidays: 4 weeks + public holidays + additional hours/days as per organisation’s TOIL Policy

Location: Galway Community Circus, St. Joseph’s Community Centre, Ashe Road, Shantalla, Galway, Ireland, H91 A4VW (wheelchair accessible)

This position offers hybrid working options (pending agreement and team requirements), including flexible hours, remote work options, and access supports. A fully remote option is not available.

Contract: Two-year contract, pending a 6-month probation period, with a 3-month review, and the possibility of extension.
