Job summary

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Developer Community Programs Manager to own strategy and execution of our developer programs portfolio — hackathons, Developer Days, workshops, API/SDK experiences, and learning journeys. You will coordinate initiatives across Corporate Marketing, Product, and Partner teams and build scalable models for global reach.

The role requires strong technical acumen, excellent communication, and a track record of managing complex programs with external partners.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in developer programs or related roles.
• Experience developing or managing developer-focused experiences such as hackathons, Developer Days, workshops, webinars, build challenges, technical events, or learning programs.
• Strong technical acumen with APIs, SDKs, developer tools, platforms, and workflows.
• Credibility with developer audiences and ability to translate needs into useful experiences.
• Strong program management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with partnerships with developer communities, universities, events, or ecosystem partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Highly organized and capable of operating across distributed teams.
• Experience with GitHub, developer portals, community platforms, or open-source ecosystems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale programs such as hackathons, Developer Days, technical webinars, API and SDK workshops, live demonstrations, build challenges, and peer-learning experiences.
• Serve as the go-to point within Corporate Marketing for developer-focused initiatives, helping connect work across Bentley and ensure programs are coordinated and visible.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Developer Relations, technical SMEs, Events, Partner Marketing, and other stakeholders.
• Translate Bentley’s developer strategy into compelling programs and experiences for developers.
• Identify opportunities to participate in or partner with external developer communities, universities, and technology partners.
• Build and manage relationships with developer community partners, event organizers, influencers, and ecosystem leaders.
• Partner with internal and external experts to shape program content including sessions, demonstrations, tutorials, challenges, and journeys.
• Create clear pathways for participants to engage with Bentley through communities, resources, events, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Community Platform and Community Experience teams to welcome developers into Bentley’s broader community.
• Capture feedback and insights to inform future experiences, resources, and platform priorities.
• Establish repeatable program models, playbooks, and operating processes for scaling across products, regions, and audiences.
• Track participation, engagement, conversion, feedback, partner contribution, and outcomes to measure impact.
• This is an individual contributor role.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer.
