Job summary

Verizon is modernising our core networks to enable new, ground-breaking products. We are looking for a Detail Engineer, Ultra Long Haul, to lead detail equipment engineering for multiple build initiatives across networks.

You will engineer and manage several projects through their life cycles, resolving issues as they arise. You will create detailed installation instructions and ensure project-specific configurations and BOMs are included.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Demonstrable excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Detail Equipment Engineering for various build initiatives across multiple networks.
• Engineer and manage multiple simultaneous projects through the life cycle and resolve issues as they arise.
• Create detailed installation instructions (I-SPECs) and ensure project-specific configurations and BOMs are included.
• Prepare Pre-Engineering/Site Survey documentation and Front Door Requests for installations at sites.
• Collaborate with Centre Engineering, Field Engineering, Operations and other teams to obtain data and drive issue resolution.
