Perform Recruitment in Dublin is seeking a Despatch Operator to join a family-owned fresh produce company’s warehouse team. The role is permanent and onsite, reporting to the Production Manager, focused on accurate order picking, packing, and despatch to keep fresh produce moving.

Ideal candidates will have despatch or warehouse experience, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and show strong attention to detail. A forklift licence is a bonus, and adherence to food safety procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately for despatch.
• Check orders against despatch notes and delivery schedules before loading.
• Load and unload goods safely, following correct handling procedures for fresh produce.
• Carry out stock rotation and support accurate stock control within the despatch area.
• Liaise with drivers, transport providers, and the production team to ensure smooth, on-time despatch.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe despatch area in line with food safety standards.
• Flag any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues promptly to the Production Manager.
• Support the wider warehouse and production team with general duties as required.

About Our Client

Our client is a family-owned fresh produce company based in North Co. Dublin, specialising in the growing, producing, and sourcing of fresh potatoes, fruit, and vegetables. They supply a wide range of customers, including supermarkets, symbol groups, the food service industry, and independent retailers, and pride themselves on delivering the freshest seasonal produce.

The Role

We're recruiting a Despatch Operator to join our client's warehouse and despatch team on a permanent, onsite basis. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll play a key role in making sure customer orders are picked, checked, and despatched accurately and on time, helping keep fresh produce moving through the business without delay.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately for despatch


• Check orders against despatch notes and delivery schedules before loading


• Load and unload goods safely, following correct handling procedures for fresh produce


• Carry out stock rotation and support accurate stock control within the despatch area


• Liaise with drivers, transport providers, and the production team to ensure smooth, on-time despatch

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a despatch, warehouse, or production environment, ideally within food or fresh produce


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active role


• Good attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy under time pressure


• A reliable, punctual team player with a flexible, can-do attitude


• Forklift licence an advantage but not essential


• Willingness to follow food safety and hygiene procedures
