Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an experienced Design Manager for a leading Main Building Contractor in Dublin. You will oversee the design phase, coordinating architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to deliver integrated designs on time and within budget.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams, drive value engineering, ensure design quality, and manage design deliverables from concept to construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Design Manager in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination between architects, engineers, and design consultants to deliver integrated designs.
• Review designs, drawings, specs and documentation to identify conflicts.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to align design intent with construction.
• Foster effective communication among stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering without compromising quality.
• Input on cost-effective design solutions with estimating team.
• Act as primary design contact with clients and address concerns.
• Present design concepts and updates to clients and ensure satisfaction.
• Establish and implement quality control processes for design deliverables.
• Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
• Identify design-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with legal/contracts for design-related issues.
