Job summary

JFC Group in Tuam, Co Galway, Ireland, is seeking a Design Engineer to join the R&D team. You will work on new product development across Marine, Agri, Civils and Material Handling, plus mould design projects from concept through re‑engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (L8) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years’ experience in design engineering or related role.
• Experience with quality systems (ISO 9001:2015) and CE Marking EN1090 desired.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and develop product designs.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and detailing; Creo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project manage new product development and upgrade existing products.
• Develop product designs based on technical specifications.
• Design rotational mould tools from provided specifications.
• Implement design for manufacture and assembly techniques.
• Contribute to technical reviews of requirements, specs, designs and codes.
• Prepare product specs, BOMs and marketing literature as needed.
• Document designs per ISO 9001:2015 and CE Marking EN1090.
