Job summary

Tate, a leader in data centre infrastructure solutions, seeks an experienced Design Engineer in Ireland to drive new product creation, prototype development, costing and qualification processes. The role focuses on CAD design for data centre projects and collaboration with internal teams to ensure accurate quotations and robust designs.

The ideal candidate holds a Building Services Engineering degree with 3–5 years CAD/estimating experience in manufacturing and data centre environments, and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience with CAD design and estimating in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to data centres or critical environments is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform Value Design Engineering including detailed 3D layouts, schematic design, and cost estimation for mechanical plant to go into the Data Centre Industry.
• Prepare and present detailed quotations, BOMs and specifications to customers and for tender submissions; liaise with suppliers for quotations.
• Liaise with internal project teams regarding variation costs and cost data for live projects; monitor KPI performance.
• Maintain ISO9001, ISO14001 and other relevant standards across projects.
• Be a leading resource for data centre customers, end users, developers, architects, engineers, main contractors and sub-contractors.
