Job summary

Red Chair Recruitment is assisting a leading Irish modular construction company in County Meath to recruit a Design Co-ordinator. You will manage the flow of technical and design information across multiple projects from pre-construction to close-out, based in their office with easy commute to North Dublin, Meath and Louth.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating external consultants such as architects, engineers or specialist consultants.
• Experience operating within a structured document-control process.
• Proven ability to keep multiple parties on schedule without direct line authority.
• Familiarity with the BCAR process and assigned certifier role is preferred.
• Experience compiling project safety files is preferred.

• Manage LOI and technical submittals, gathering pre-contract documentation and test reports.
• Coordinate fire safety, civil engineering and other design inputs from external consultants.
• Act as the daily link between architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and site teams for design information.
• Coordinate with in-house draughtsperson on live projects and monitor consultant progress.
• Issue design information to subcontractors/site teams and collect submittals for review.
• Manage project close-out, BCAR files and certificates and issue documentation to the Assigned Certifier.

Our client, a leading Irish modular construction company for commercial and residential applications, is looking for a Design Co-ordinator to join their team in County Meath. You will manage the flow of technical and design information across multiple projects, from pre-construction through to project close-out. This is a permanent, full-time position, based in office and within easy commute of North Dublin, Meath and Louth.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage LOI and technical submittals, gathering required pre-contract documentation, construction details, test reports and material information.
• Coordinate fire safety, civil engineering and other design inputs from external consultants.
• Act as the day-to-day link between architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, draughtspersons and site teams, managing the flow and timely issue of design information.
• Coordinate with the in-house draughtsperson on live projects and monitor consultant progress through weekly meetings and programme tracking.
• Issue design information to subcontractors/site teams and collect technical submittals back for review and coordination.
• Manage project close-out, including BCAR files, certificates, subcontractor/consultant documentation and Safety Files, issuing completed documentation to the Assigned Certifier.

Requirements:

• Experience co-ordinating external consultants - chasing, tracking and progressing inputs from architects, engineers or specialist consultants (rather than producing design output directly)
• Experience operating within a structured document-control process
• Proven ability to keep multiple parties on schedule without direct line authority over them
• Familiarity with the BCAR process and the assigned certifier role is strongly preferred
• Experience compiling project safety files is strongly preferred
