Job summary

Northern Trust in Ireland is seeking a Depositary Analyst to support the oversight of a portfolio of investment funds. You will perform monitoring, due diligence support, issue investigation and regulatory oversight in line with UCITS, AIFMD and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Depositary oversight: perform oversight activities per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Review fund activity and outputs to identify exceptions, breaches or risks.
• Investigate exceptions and obtain supporting information from fund service providers and clients.
• Escalate issues per internal procedures.
• Support ongoing monitoring of investment, valuation, cash flow and safekeeping controls.
• Due diligence: assist onboarding and ongoing reviews of Fund Management Companies and delegates.
• Prepare and follow up on due diligence questionnaires and analyses.
• Track findings and actions to completion.
• Assist in preparing due diligence reports and MI.
• Regulatory monitoring: stay updated on developments impacting Depositary activities.
• Maintain awareness of UCITS, AIFMD and local rules.
• Assist with risk assessments and oversight reviews.
• Contribute to identifying operational and regulatory risks.
• Client and stakeholder support: respond to queries and prepare client reports.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in client and delegate meetings.
• Quality and continuous improvement: ensure timely, accurate activities.
• Maintain auditable records of oversight activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Assist with regulatory and business change initiatives.
