The Defence Forces (Óglaigh na hÉireann) are recruiting a Direct Entry Dental Officer to deliver top-quality dental care to military personnel based in Cork (Collins Barracks, Cork and Naval Base, Haulbowline). The Medical Corps provides a broad range of services to safeguard health and operational readiness.

Applicants must be eligible to live and work in Ireland, under 50 at closing date, hold a Degree in Dental Surgery registered with the Irish Dental Council, and have a minimum of 3 years

• Degree in Dental Surgery and registration with the Irish Dental Council.
• Minimum 3 years’ postgraduate experience.
• Meet required medical, fitness, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care to military personnel.
• Conduct routine check-ups, cleanings as well as advanced dental procedures.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers in the military.

The Medical Corps plays a vital role in safeguarding the health and operational readiness of Defence Forces personnel at home and overseas. It delivers a broad range of medical and dental services to support both physical and mental wellbeing. We are looking for skilled dentists to provide top-quality care in a dynamic and fulfilling environment.

Key Requirements

• Eligible to live and work in Ireland
• Under 50 years of age at application closing date

Training & Placement
