Job summary

PE Global is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to join our care team in Dublin, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, and will provide person-centred care in a safe, respectful environment.

You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to monitor residents, support daily living tasks, and promote dignity, independence, and emotional well-being while adhering to safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant, with dementia care preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and age-related cognitive decline.
• Caring, patient, empathetic and respectful attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
• Support residents with dementia in a compassionate, person-centred way.
• Assist with eating, hydration, and nutrition.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Monitor health changes and report to care team.
• Support residents with confusion, anxiety, or agitation.
• Encourage social activities and emotional well-being.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans.
• Adhere to infection control and safeguarding policies.
• Respect privacy and individual preferences.
