Job summary
MSD in Ireland (Dunboyne, Co. Meath) is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Specialist to own Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, drive optimization, and support NPIs.
You will collaborate with SIEMENS OEM Automation, PAS-X MES, Engineering, QA, Validation, and Global Technology to ensure compliant, reliable automation. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 3–5 years’ hands-on DeltaV experience in GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing, with strong knowledge of ISA S88/S95, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Automation, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years hands‑on automation engineering with Emerson DeltaV DCS in GMP manufacturing.
- Experience in Tech Transfer, Process Design, and commissioning/qualification.
- Expertise in Batch Control Systems (ISA S88/S95), GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV, and SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Act as technical System Owner for the DeltaV DCS across Upstream, Downstream, Solution Prep, and utility areas.
- Develop, debug, and optimize DeltaV code and control strategies for stability.
- Lead engineering assessments, config modifications, and validation runs for NPIs.
