Job summary

Oxford Global Resources seeks an experienced Systems Automation Engineer to maintain and enhance our site’s control systems (Emerson DeltaV) and production information systems in a GMP environment. Qualifications

• 8+ years in development and operation of industrial batch control systems, GMP environment preferred.
• DeltaV experience is essential for the role.
• Experience with industrial data and reporting tools (PI, SQL) is advantageous.
• Strong programming and scripting capabilities (VB, SQL) are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the site’s control systems and production information systems.
• Identify, deploy and manage control system projects to improve operations.
• Provide troubleshooting support for production operations and system hardware.
• Maintain system validation status per EU and FDA GMP requirements.
• Generate reports and manage procurement of equipment and software.

Job description

Our client are seeking an experienced Systems Automation Engineer to maintain and develop their site’s control systems (F-R RS3 and Emerson DeltaV), process information systems and management information system in support of current plant production and in accordance with regulatory requirements (GMP), while providing ongoing engineering and troubleshooting support to production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation and development of the site’s control and production information systems
• Identify, develop and deploy control and manufacturing systems projects to enhance site operations and processes
• Support and maintain the above systems’ hardware, networks, servers and peripherals
• Maintain the validated status of the above systems, in accordance with EU and FDA GMP requirements
• Support manufacturing production targets by ensuring consistent system performance
• Conduct maintenance on the system as required
• Provide timely response to systems / manufacturing issues
• Keep safety and operability of the system under constant review
• Generating relevant reports as requested
• Source and purchase equipment, software and services as required
• Ensure that EHS roles and responsibilities are complied with as per the requirements of the site Safety Statement
• Other systems duties/projects as they arise

Key Requirements

• 8 + Years in development and operation of industrial batch control systems ideally in a GMP environment
• Experience in Emerson Delta V is essential
• Also beneficial would be experience with: Aveva PI, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens S7, GMP regulations, MS Win server administration, Aveva Reports, Hyper-V, MS SQL, MS Access, VB or other programming skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Self Starter/Motivated.

12 MONTHS FULL TIME CONTRACT WITH EXTENSION
