Job summary

Centra in Ireland seeks a hands-on Deli Supervisor to lead our Deli department. You will ensure efficient daily operations, maintain HACCP standards, manage stock ordering and waste, and drive staff training and development.

The role requires strong attention to budget and rosters, plus a passion for delivering high-quality fresh foods. You will mentor the team, share product knowledge with customers, and implement engaging deli initiatives to grow customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of fresh food supervisory experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a role with strong exposure to fresh food.
• Fully trained in HACCP and food safety, with experience meeting HACCP requirements.
• Experience ordering for deli departments and managing waste in a fresh food department.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Numerical skills.
• Ability to roster and adhere to budgets.
• Passion for the food industry; be creative and innovative with fresh offering.
• Customer-focused manager who can build a quality and loyal customer base.
• Ability to inspire, lead and motivate employees through support and development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the presentation and layout of the deli serve over.
• Implement planograms correctly.
• Minimise waste and shrink in the department.
• Bring new ideas to the department on fresh food innovation through regular research and benchmarking against competitors.
• Demonstrate passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with shoppers.
• Train all new employees to the deli.
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
