Job summary

Centra in Clifden, Ireland is seeking a friendly deli assistant to prepare high quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction is the top priority. You will handle orders, prepare sandwiches and rolls, and dish up hot foods with careful portion control.

Maintain high standards across fresh food displays, share recipes and product knowledge with customers, and respond to queries professionally. HACCP training is desirable, and customer service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary.
• Previous customer service experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and multi task under pressure.
• A passion for food and the ability to inspire shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas e.g. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using portion control measures.
• Cook, prepare and display the foods sold throughout the day.
• Ensure counter displays across all fresh food departments are kept to the highest standards.
• Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers to demonstrate passion for quality food.
• Deal with customer queries efficiently and professionally in line with store policy.
