We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deli Manager to lead our client's busy deli department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food service, managing a team, and driving sales while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the deli department, including sandwich counter, hot food counter, cold meats, savouries, cheese, and salad bar.
  • Oversee stock ordering and control to ensure availability and reduce waste.
  • Manage department financials, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
  • Develop and implement sales-driving initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP regulations and food safety standards.
  • Lead and manage a strong team, including training, performance management, and development.
  • Prepare and manage department rosters efficiently.
  • Maintain and enforce high store standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-presented deli area.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and address any queries or complaints professionally.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Deli Manager in a busy grocery retail environment (essential).
  • HACCP trained with a strong understanding of food safety regulations.
