We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deli Manager to lead our client's busy deli department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food service, managing a team, and driving sales while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the deli department, including sandwich counter, hot food counter, cold meats, savouries, cheese, and salad bar.
- Oversee stock ordering and control to ensure availability and reduce waste.
- Manage department financials, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
- Develop and implement sales-driving initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP regulations and food safety standards.
- Lead and manage a strong team, including training, performance management, and development.
- Prepare and manage department rosters efficiently.
- Maintain and enforce high store standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-presented deli area.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and address any queries or complaints professionally.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Deli Manager in a busy grocery retail environment (essential).
- HACCP trained with a strong understanding of food safety regulations.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in staff training and development.
