Job summary

Aramark Ireland in Galway is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Deli Assistant to join our front-line team at the deli counter. You will deliver excellent customer service while upholding the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.

You will prepare and serve deli products, manage stock, rotate stock, operate the till, and help keep the counter clean and welcoming during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing retail or food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices suggested or desirable.
• Ability to operate a till and handle cash accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards.
• Operate the till, process payments and handle cash.
• Rotate stock to keep products fresh and attractively displayed.
• Slice, portion and package deli items to customer specifications.
• Assist with stock taking and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with team and management for smooth operations.
• Support colleagues during peak trading periods to maintain service quality.
