Job summary

Daybreak is seeking a Deli Assistant to join our team in Cahersiveen, Ireland. You will prepare high-quality hot and cold deli products and ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority.

Key duties include preparing orders, cooking and displaying foods, and maintaining displays to the highest standards. A passion for food and great customer service are essential, with HACCP training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across fresh food areas: sandwiches, rolls, hot foods, sliced meats.
• Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
• Maintain top standards for counter displays in all fresh foods areas.
• Share knowledge, recipes and recommendations with customers to showcase quality.
• Handle customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.

As a Deli Assistant, you will be responsible for the preparation of high-quality hot and cold deli products and for ensuring customer satisfaction is the number one priority.

Job Requirements

• Previous customer service experience is an advantage

Main responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across all fresh food areas i.e. make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food, and slice meats using the store`s portion control measures
• Cook, prepare, and display the foods sold throughout the day
• Ensure that the counter displays across all fresh food departments are to the highest standards at all times throughout the day
• Demonstrate your passion for quality food by sharing knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.
