Job summary

Centra Curragh Grange in Ireland seeks a Deli Assistant to prepare high quality hot and cold deli foods and to ensure customer satisfaction remains the top priority. You will demonstrate a passion for food, deliver friendly service, work as part of a busy team, and help with product displays and maintaining high standards throughout the day.

Experience in customer service is a plus, HACCP training is desirable but not mandatory, and you will share recipes and recommendations with shoppers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders across fresh food areas: make sandwiches and rolls, dish up hot food and slice meats using portion control measures.
• Cook, prepare and display foods sold throughout the day.
• Ensure counter displays across all fresh food departments are maintained to high standards.
• Share knowledge, recipes and personal recommendations with customers.
• Deal with customer queries efficiently and professionally in line with store policy.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be

• HACCP training is desirable but not necessary

• Previous customer service experience is an advantage
