Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in Bray invites applications for a qualified Instructor/Supervisor in our Day Service setting. You will support clients to pursue personal outcomes, build potential and develop meaningful roles in the day service and community, with hours Monday to Friday.

You must hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Care (or equivalent), a minimum HETAC Level 6 qualification in Training or Education or Social Care, and at least one year’s experience working with people with intellectual

Qualifications

QQI Level 7 in Social Care or foreign equivalent (validated by QQI) to qualify for 6402 Pay Scale.
A minimum HETAC level 6 qualification in Training or Education, Social Care or other relevant areas.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with people with an intellectual disability

Responsibilities

To facilitate and implement a person-centered approach for our Clients appropriate to their wishes and goals
To promote and protect the rights of people in a manner that respects their dignity, their right to make choices and their privacy
To actively seek new interests and opportunities for people to develop meaningful roles in their communities
To ensure the overall wellbeing of clients in all areas of their lives including health and personal care
To assist in the teaching of life skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence
