Job summary

Re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Ireland Limited, within AWS, is seeking a Data Steward to drive data consistency and accuracy across global warehouse management systems and eliminate recurring data issues.

You will audit and repair data, partner with internal teams and 3P providers, and generate performance metrics to guide leadership decisions and daily planning. This role supports 400+ users across four facilities and millions of transactions monthly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a data-related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and master data management concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to communicate insights.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of system data across multiple data stores.
  • Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and governance strategies for global data integrity and compliance.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and implement improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party providers to understand data requirements and provide support.
  • Use SQL to query, extract, and analyze data to support business needs.
  • Create and present data performance metrics and visualizations to leadership to drive data consistency and accuracy.
  • Provide training and support to team members on data-related topics and best practices.
  • Manage ticket queue and prioritize work for system developments.
  • Assist with migration of legacy data into new systems and reporting architecture.
  • Test new data changes in development before production deployment.

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team offers worldwide cloud computing providers with a centralized means to disassemble, sort, function test, in-warranty return, repair, erase/wipe, and disposition server and networking assets that break or are no longer needed in the fleet. The team is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and self-driven Data Steward to support its global operations by driving and working collaboratively across teams to maintain data consistency and accuracy, and by generating and driving data-related performance metrics in the organization’s warehouse management system. This scope will ensure data reliability for the organization’s three operating systems, driven by 400+ global users through our four global facilities that are generating millions of transactions per month across 70+ data tables. This role is critical to the re:Cycle Reverse Logsitics system-management team that is responsible for maintaining application security, data, and compliance, and plays a key role in enabling global operations with reliable information needed to align on daily, monthly, and annual plans, and tracking operational performance to plan. Auditing and analyzing the system’s data (both extracted and in-application), repairing inaccurate data, working across the organization and 3P service provider to root cause and repair recurring data issues, analyzing and prioritizing data "bugs" for resolution, supporting data change management initiatives, and generating/driving data-related performance metrics for leadership presentation are all in a day’s work for the reverse logistics Data Steward.

Key job responsibilities

  • Testing new data in development to ensure a successful implementation into production environments

About The Team

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics Operations team offers worldwide cloud computing providers with a centralized means to disassemble, sort, function test, in-warranty return, repair, erase/wipe, and disposition server and networking assets that break or are no longer needed in the fleet. The Operation Integration team supports global operations by enabling and maintaining the warehouse management systems and processes that govern every value-add service that the organization performs on millions of parts per year. This team is critical in providing software guardrails to protect assets, to ensuring traceability of assets coming/going, and providing cross-organizational data.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related, or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)
  • Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands‑on SQL coding
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience working with and managing third party vendors
