Job summary

UNISYNC SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. seeks a senior Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data sets. You will implement high-performance processing using Python, PySpark, Spark SQL and Scala across cloud and on-prem environments.

Stay ahead with batch and streaming pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming, AWS Glue and Airflow. You’ll enable data ingestion from diverse sources and collaborate with data scientists to deploy AI-enabled data solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IT or related field.
Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms and pipelines.
Strong programming and SQL skills.
Cloud-based data engineering experience with modern data processing frameworks.
Experience with AI/ML, NLP or GenAI is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for large data volumes.
Develop high-performance data processing using Python, PySpark, Spark SQL and Scala.
Build batch and real-time pipelines with Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming, AWS Glue and Airflow.
Create data ingestion frameworks across RDBMS, APIs, files and cloud storage.
Design data lakes and data warehouses on cloud platforms.
Work with Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, Cloudera, Presto and Snowflake.
Model and transform data, ensure quality and optimise performance.
