Job description

Our client is expanding their data operations team, and we are seeking a Data Integration Engineer. In this role, you will play a key part in connecting enterprise systems, ensuring reliable data exchange, and enabling smarter business decisions through clean, consistent, and accessible data. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Co Cork; all candidates must be able to work onsite 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
2. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across integrated platforms.
3. Troubleshoot integration issues and provide technical support to teams and stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business teams to understand data flow requirements and implement effective solutions.
5. Document integration processes, configurations, and mappings clearly and thoroughly.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in system integration or related roles.
2. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware technologies, and data transformation methods.
4. Experience with ETL tools and proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
5. Cleo Integration Cloud platform experience/knowledge is advantageous.
