Data Governance Analyst
- Contract Type: Full time, regular contract
- Location: Ireland, Remote/Work-from-Home

- Reports to: AVP, Information Technology, Based in the USA
Responsibilities
- Data Quality & Integrity
- Define and implement data quality standards and processes.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies across platforms.
- Monitor and maintain accurate student, partner, and academic records.
- Policy & Compliance
- Develop data governance policies in alignment with privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, GDPR, HIPAA, EU AI Act).
- Work with legal and compliance teams to manage data-sharing agreements with global institutions.
- Data Stewardship
- Act as a liaison between departments (e.g., Enrollment, Academics, IT) to ensure data accountability.
- Document data flows and manage metadata repositories or dictionaries.
- Education & Training
- Train staff on data handling best practices and data protection responsibilities.
- Create clear documentation for data procedures and governance protocols.
- Technology & Tools
- Collaborate with IT to manage permissions, access control, and data architecture in systems such as CRMs, student information systems, or study abroad platforms.
- Support system audits and participate in data migration or integration projects as needed.

Requirements, Work Experience And Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data governance, compliance, or data stewardship.
- Familiarity with education data regulations (FERPA, GDPR) is preferred.
- Experience with CRMs, data visualization tools, or student information systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI Platforms at the enterprise level preferred.
- Demonstrated project coordination and workflow management skills, with the ability to track multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear documentation.
- Keen attention to detail, particularly for compliance-oriented tasks.
- Tech fluency, adaptability and openness in learning new platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proactive approach to problem-solving and follow-up, especially in asynchronous environments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and a mature approach to communication.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders from diverse communities and cultures.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate across international teams.
- Comfortable working in a mission-driven, student-centered environment.
- Able to balance structure and flexibility in a fast-paced, small-team setting.
- Interest in international education or global mobility is a plus.
- Existing work authorization for Ireland and physically reside in Ireland.
