Eir Evo talent has partnered with a financial services firm with a strong presence in Ireland and international markets.We're looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our growing analytics and technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using modern tools, including Databricks, to empower the business to extract maximum value from data. This opportunity operates off a hybrid working model based in Co Donegal.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Impala, Oozie, Hive, Airflow, and HDFS to support high-volume data processing and orchestration.
• Drive modernisationinitiatives, including evaluating and integrating cloud platforms and Databricks into our data architecture.
• Develop and deploy cloud-based data solutions using AWS services such asAthena,S3, EMR,Glue, Redshiftand Lambda.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficient in SQL, and scripting languages like Python or Shell.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (Hive, Impala, Oozie, HDFS) and workflow orchestration (Airflow).
• Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Athena, EMR, Redshift, Glue, Lambda).
• Exposure to or interest in Databricks and modern data platforms is a strong plus.
