Job summary

K2 STRATEGIC is seeking a proactive maintenance technician to perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on data center critical equipment. This shift-based role requires safety-conscious individuals with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn, operating within the Facilities Operations Centre.

You will plan and execute planned and reactive work orders, supervise third-party contractors, and collaborate with management to review faults and develop action plans.

Qualifications

• Qualification or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Facilities, or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience in a data centre, facilities management, industrial, or critical environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, UPS systems, generators, or cooling infrastructure.
• Understanding of health & safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Experience working with contractors and service vendors is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 100% uptime by maintaining and repairing all critical equipment on site.
• Plan and complete planned and reactive work orders by due date.
• Assist in planning, supervising and handing over project-related changes within the facility.
• Collaborate with management to review equipment failures and prepare RCA and action plans.
• Follow SOPs, EOPs and risk assessments during all activities.
• Develop site procedures for maintenance and operation of critical equipment.
• Assist in technical issues, project and vendor management and reporting.
• Supervise third-party engineers and contractors to ensure site standards.
