Job summary

ICTS UK & IRELAND is seeking reliable Data Centre Security Officers to safeguard premises and people across sites. You will work 12-hour shifts as part of a dedicated Data Centre team and support holiday and leave coverage, performing access control, patrols, and incident response.

The role requires PSA license, Safe Pass, and full-time availability; strong communication, integrity, and five years of checkable history.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control for buildings and car parks.
• Patrol premises, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.
• Check IDs and challenge passes with a professional approach.
• Lock/unlock buildings, rooms, barriers and gates to prevent unauthorised access.
• Monitor fire, security and building systems, including CCTV.
• Identify and report Health & Safety issues and conduct first aid if necessary.
• Respond to customer requests and queries.
• Maintain incident records using paper and digital systems.

ICTS are looking for reliable and technology savvy Data Centre Security Officers to ensure the security and safety of premises and people amongst their sites.

You’ll be required to work 12 hour shifts, and be part of a Data Centre team that will support the ongoing operation to cover holiday and leave.

An experienced Security Officer, you will carry out a range of duties in a modern and fast paced environment, including:

• Managing access control for buildings and car-parks - for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Patrolling the buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.
• Checking and challenging ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
• De-activating and activating alarms, and unlocking and locking buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site.
• Fire, security and building systems monitoring, including CCTV.
• Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary.
• Responding to customer requests and queries
• Maintaining records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems

The following would also be useful, but are not essential:

Essential Requirements

• Valid Private Security Authority (PSA) License
• Valid Safe Pass certification
• Full-time availability for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated professionalism and integrity
• Five years' checkable history and references
• To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• Advanced IT skills
