Zurich Cover-More in Dublin is seeking a Business Analyst with a strong focus on data, reporting and governance. You will partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories and dashboards, ensuring accurate, compliant analytics across the business.

Hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 remote) with a clear path for growth in a global travel-insurance environment. Strong data governance, Excel/Power BI and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven BA experience in data, reporting, analytics or governance.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and specs.
• Experience delivering data-driven reporting and dashboards.
• Strong stakeholder management for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality, lineage and metadata.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting, analytics and data requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather, challenge and refine business needs.
• Translate complex business questions into structured requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Define KPIs, business rules, data definitions and reporting logic to support decision‑making.
• Produce documentation including process maps, data dictionaries, data flows and dashboard specifications.
• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers and technology teams to deliver data and reporting solutions.
• Support the design and development of dashboards and reports by defining measures, calculations and business outcomes.
• Validate reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, quality and alignment to business requirements.
• Promote good data governance practices, including data ownership, quality standards and lineage documentation.
• Support product teams by identifying insights that improve customer journeys, operational performance and commercial outcomes.
• Drive adoption of new reporting tools and processes through stakeholder engagement, training and communication.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, data quality and business analysis practices.

What skills and experience you’ll bring on this journey

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within data, reporting, analytics, business intelligence or data governance environments.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Experience defining and delivering reporting, dashboard or data‑driven solutions that support business decision‑making.
• Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, metadata, lineage and governance frameworks.
• Experience creating process maps, data flows, data dictionaries and business documentation.
• Hands‑on experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Visio and data documentation platforms.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to structure and solve complex problems.
• Knowledge of data privacy, regulatory and compliance requirements, including GDPR.
• Experience working within regulated or complex business environments would be advantageous, as would exposure to enterprise governance tools such as Informatica and relevant BA or data certifications.

At Zurich Cover-More, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. We are committed to providing a fair and reasonable compensation range for each role and additional rewards may include short‑term incentive bonuses and increases based on merit. The compensation shown reflects a national market range and the proposed salary for this position is £53,015 - £62,371 / €57,851 - €68,061 with short‑term incentive bonus eligibility of 10%.
