Job summary

MSD in Carlow is seeking an Associate Director for Data Analytics to lead digitalisation initiatives in manufacturing data. You will collaborate with NPI, Validation and IPT teams to drive data-driven improvements and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong data analysis, Lean Six Sigma experience and SME-level knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI, Spotfire, or Shiny, within a GMP manufacturing setting. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in Science, Engineering or technical discipline.
• Data analysis experience required.
• GMP setting experience with data integrity focus preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma methodology experience desired.
• Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of data analysis/visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire or Shiny is required.
• Knowledge of MES, DeltaV, SAP, LIMS and PI in manufacturing contexts.
• Familiarity with regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International standards.
• Sterile filling processes and equipment knowledge.
• Ability to manage complex projects across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as data analytics SME at site meetings for digitalisation projects at Carlow.
• Perform data analysis and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Conduct statistical analyses to support development and commercialisation batches.
• Provide SME input into investigations and quality notifications.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and participate in projects and investigations; support Kaizen events.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Drive a safe, compliant culture within Carlow.
