Job summary

Korn Ferry is recruiting a Data Analyst in Dublin to join a major banking client. The role focuses on supporting data transformation across EDW and EDL environments within an Agile team. You will translate business requirements into robust data solutions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

The ideal candidate has strong warehousing experience, SQL skills, and the ability to work across business and technical stakeholders. Hybrid work with two days onsite per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst on data warehouse or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures.
• Experience with EDW and/or EDL environments.
• Strong SQL skills to analyse and profile complex datasets.
• Experience producing source-to-target data mappings and data lineage documentation.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data analysis.
• Experience in agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with SAFe or similar scaled agil frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data requirements and support delivery of data solutions across EDW/EDL environments.
• Review requirements and data models, identify gaps and coordinate with BAs, POs and Data Modelling teams.
• Engage with source system SMEs and stakeholders to understand data and requirements.
• Document data sourcing, mappings and transformations from sources to target layers.
• Produce detailed source‑to‑target data mappings and supporting technical documentation.
• Carry out data profiling to ensure data meets business and technical requirements.
• Ensure data mappings are accurate and aligned across systems.
• Develop knowledge of source system data and enterprise data environment.
• Support downstream teams with functional and data‑related queries.
• Communicate complex data concepts to business and technical stakeholders.
• Work in an Agile delivery team and participate in ceremonies and planning.
• Manage and prioritise backlog items to meet timelines.
• Support Solutions Architects with high‑level data decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across data analysis and engineering practices.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Analyst to join a major banking client in Dublin, supporting a critical data transformation and delivery programme.

The successful candidate will work within a cross‑functional data team, supporting the design and delivery of end‑to‑end data solutions across Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst with strong data warehousing experience who enjoys working across business and technical teams, translating requirements into effective data solutions and working within an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse data requirements and support the delivery of data solutions across enterprise data warehouse and data lake environments.
• Review requirements and data models, identifying gaps and working with Business Analysts, Product Owners and Data Modelling teams to resolve them.
• Engage with source system SMEs and business stakeholders to understand source data, systems and requirements.
• Document data sourcing, mappings and transformations from source systems through to target data layers.
• Produce detailed source‑to‑target data mappings and supporting technical documentation.
• Carry out data profiling to assess source data and ensure it meets business and technical requirements.
• Ensure data mappings are accurate, consistent and aligned across multiple systems.
• Develop strong knowledge of source system data and the data available across the enterprise data environment.
• Support downstream development, testing and delivery teams with functional and data‑related queries.
• Communicate complex data and technical concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
• Work as part of an Agile delivery team, actively participating in relevant ceremonies and planning activities.
• Manage and prioritise backlog items collaboratively to ensure delivery against agreed timelines.
• Support Solution Architects with high‑level solution design and data‑related decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across data analysis, delivery and engineering practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Data Analyst on data warehouse or data transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures.
• Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and/or Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) environments.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyse and profile complex datasets.
• Experience producing source‑to‑target data mappings and data lineage documentation.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data analysis.
• Experience working within complex, multi‑vendor change or transformation environments.
• Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Experience of SAFe or similar scaled Agile frameworks would be advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within demanding delivery timelines.
• A data‑literate and analytical mindset, with strong attention to detail.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience with Informatica.
• Experience with Teradata.
• Exposure to modern data engineering technologies and practices.
• Experience working across both data warehouse and data lake environments.
• Experience supporting large‑scale data transformation or regulatory/data‑driven change programmes.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Data Analyst who can operate comfortably between business requirements, source systems, data models and technical delivery teams.

You should be confident working with large and complex datasets, able to investigate data issues using SQL, and comfortable engaging with technical SMEs and business stakeholders to establish clear requirements and deliver robust data solutions.

This is a 6-month initial contract based in Dublin, with a hybrid working model requiring 2 days per week onsite.
