Job summary

Hatched Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst to productise its proprietary datasets and test predictive power of data against KPI signals for publicly listed companies. You will analyse datasets, build automated client reports, and work with a team to crack the data pipeline.

A self-starter with a quantitative background and knowledge of Python/SQL is essential, with hybrid work in Ireland and clear growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience as a financial analyst, data analyst or consultant.
• Strong quantitative background in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or finance.
• Fluency in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modelling.
• Fluency in SQL, ideally with experience in Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.

Job description

As a Data Analyst, it is your role to productise Hatched's proprietary datasets. You will analyse the datasets and test if they have "alpha": can the dataset predict a reported KPI of the target publicly listed company? You will work as part of a team of data analysts who are trying to crack a pipeline of proprietary datasets, and you will help build and maintain the automated reporting that delivers our data to clients.

The role requires a self-starter who takes ownership of work and is self-accountable. This is an opportunity to work in a growing and fast-paced company with strong leadership.

What You Bring to Hatched

• 1+ years of work experience as a financial analyst, data analyst or consultant;
• A strong quantitative background, such as economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or finance;
• Fluency in Python or R for data analysis and statistical modelling;
• Fluency in SQL, ideally with experience in Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse;
• Proficiency in Tableau or another visualisation tool;
• Ability to work with obscure data and a curiosity to go beyond the data;
• A questioning mindset and strong attention to detail;
• Ability to translate technical material to a non-technical audience;
• Literacy in financial accounts;
• Interest in AI and LLM tools and how they can improve analytical work.
