Job summary

Ryan Agri Enterprises Lauragh Limited in Ireland is seeking a skilled Dairy Farm Assistant for a 500-cow herd in Dungarvan, Waterford. You will be involved in milking, herd care, calving support, calf-rearing, general farm duties, and pasture management.

This role requires dairy farming experience, ability to operate machinery, teamwork and strong communication, plus commitment to health and safety guidelines; 39-hour week and a progressive farming environment.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team on a 500-cow herd farm in Dungarvan, Waterford. As part of our dedicated team, you will be involved in:

• Milking and herd care
• Assisting with calving
• Calf-rearing and youngstock management
• General farm duties to support day-to-day operations
• Pasture and grazing management

Requirements include relevant experience in dairy farming and milking cows, the ability to operate and maintain machinery and farm equipment, able to work with a team, have good communication skills, and willingness to follow all health and safety guidelines on the farm, and keep the workplace tidy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with dairy experience who is eager to develop their skills further and contribute to the smooth running of a progressive farm.
