Job summary

TechHeads in Ennis, Co. Clare, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to lead a major security improvement programme across a healthcare group.

This hands-on role focuses on remediation, Microsoft 365 security, vulnerability management and strengthening the organisation's security posture. You will collaborate with internal teams, MSPs and security partners to identify risks and implement practical controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' IT/security experience with hands-on cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation.
• Good understanding of identity, endpoint, network and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Lead remediation of critical and high-risk security vulnerabilities.
• Analyse vulnerability assessments and prioritise remediation activities.
• Coordinate patching and mitigation across servers, endpoints, cloud services and infrastructure.
• Strengthen security controls across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Improve identity and access management, including MFA, Conditional Access and privileged access.
• Support endpoint security, email security and data protection initiatives.
• Investigate security incidents and support incident response activities.
• Work with MSPs and external security partners to implement security improvements.
• Develop security standards, documentation and reporting.
• Support ongoing cyber security improvement projects across the group.
