Job summary

SMBC Aviation Capital in Dublin is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Information Security team. You will be responsible for monitoring, risk assessments, and security controls to protect information assets in a cloud-first environment.

The role involves collaboration with IT and third-party providers, incident response, and supporting awareness initiatives across the business. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field as a minimum requirement.
  • Minimum 2 years in information security or cyber security.
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts and shared responsibility.
  • Experience with Microsoft security technologies (Azure, Defender, Sentinel).
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk and compliance concepts (GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support monitoring and protection of SMBC Aviation Capital’s information assets.
  • Conduct risk assessments for systems and technology initiatives.
  • Define security requirements with IT and external providers; track delivery of controls.
  • Assist with security awareness and training activities across the business.
  • Contribute to design and improvement of security standards and controls.
  • Support incident response activities and post-incident reviews.
  • Maintain evidence for audits and compliance.
