Jobgether SRL is seeking a Frontend Desktop Engineer based in Ireland to develop and maintain a cross‑platform desktop application using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

You will contribute to a decentralized peer-to-peer platform, focusing on UI, state management, testing, and performance optimization, while collaborating with a globally distributed team that values open-source innovation.

Competenze

• Proven professional experience with React or Preact and modern JavaScript or TypeScript in production-scale applications.
• Strong understanding of frontend state management including Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar libraries.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Solid experience testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex frontend applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and interest in high-performance desktop software.
• Genuine interest in peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems, or decentralized applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a globally distributed, remote team.
• Experience developing desktop applications with Electron, Tauri, or comparable runtimes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with WebRTC and real-time communication technologies is preferred.
• Knowledge of cross-platform development for macOS, Windows, and Linux is a plus.
• Contributions to open-source projects in peer-to-peer or decentralized tech are a plus.
