A sign-on bonus of $60,000 is offered to external hires only.

Eligibility requires continued full-time (1.0 FTE) employment with AHN for a minimum of three years in the initially hired position.

Rehires must have been separated from AHN for at least twelve months to qualify.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This position provides anesthetic care for patients in the surgical setting.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements anesthetic management for all patients receiving anesthesia care. Ensures accurate medical record documentation. (45%)
  • Provides continuous observation of patients under anesthesia and responds to abnormal patient responses. Collaborates with attending physicians regarding care plans and clinical decisions outside the CRNA's scope. (35%)
  • Participates in and develops performance and quality improvement initiatives. (10%)
  • Follows legal and ethical standards for nursing and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Ensures safety standards and regulatory compliance. (5%)
  • Serves as a clinical resource to the healthcare team and may mentor new staff or students. (5%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Current PA RN license
  • Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists
  • CPR – American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association

Preferred

  • Previous CRNA experience
