Job summary

A Credit Controller role is available through Adecco for a leading shipping company. The job focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure timely payment within agreed terms and accurate allocation of receipts.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in credit control, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to improving processes. This position is based in Ireland with a focus on Dublin operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control and collections.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure timely payments within terms.
• Check bank for payments and allocate to correct accounts.
• Produce monthly debtor reports for the Credit Control Manager.
• Distribute invoices and credit notes to customers promptly.
• Minimise overdue accounts and report findings to the Credit Control Manager.
• Liaise with customers and Sales/Operations to resolve payment issues.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency in credit control.

Credit Controller

This company is the largest shipping company and provides container, shipping and transport services offering door / door and quay / quay services between Continental Europe and Ireland.

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the responsibilities will include:

• Keep regular contact and build good business relationships with Customers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments within agreed terms.
• Check bank for payments and ensure all monies paid are accurately allocated to relevant accounts.
• Produce monthly Debtor Report for Credit Control Manager.
• Ensure the distribution of accurate invoices and credit notes to all customers in a timely manner.
• Minimize the number of overdue accounts and report same to Credit Control Manager.
• Ensure all queries are answered in a prompt fashion by liaising with customers and the company Sales and Operations to ensure payment within the agreed credit terms.
• Constantly assessing the systems in place to see if improvements / efficiencies can be found.
