Job summary

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. in Ireland (Killarney) seeks an Electrical/Mechatronic engineer to lead electrical system specification, integration, and on-site support for crane projects.

You will liaise with design, software, and service teams to ensure complete, compliant electrical solutions, documentation, and testing. The role requires international travel and collaboration across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in automation, electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
• Familiarity with Zuken E3 or similar drawing package.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements to identify electrical requirements.
• Document crane electrical system interfaces and control console layouts.
• Generate specifications for electrical equipment including switchgear.
• Manage integration of electrical subsystems to ensure overall function.
• Support purchase department with component procurement and sourcing.
• Create electrical piece lists and documentation for production.
• Travel overseas as required for project execution.
