Job summary

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. in Killarney, Ireland, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design on project-based crane systems. You will ensure technical excellence, document interfaces, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to fulfill requirements.

The role requires a Level 7 degree in engineering fields, strong communication, problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel internationally. ABB PLC exposure and Ethernet networks are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Min Level 7 degree in Automation / Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Familiarity with Zuken E3 or similar drawing package.
• Ability to analyse problems and derive solutions.
• Ability to manage project requirements and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely electrical design on project-based products to high standards.
• Coordinate with customers on design requirements and details.
• Document electrical interfaces, control layouts and test documents.
• Specify electrical components and source suppliers; support procurement.
• Liaise with production, installation and service teams for on-site support.
