Job description

Artemis Human Capital is working in partnership with a successful business based near Drogheda to appoint a Cost Controller for their growing team. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be involved in streamlining and improving current processes, preparing product costings and KPI reporting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to undertake a highly commercial role within a fast-growing and exciting business.

The Role:

Business Partnering
  • Provide operational and financial support to senior leadership on a daily basis.
  • Influence decision making through detailed financial analysis of capital investments, cost-saving opportunities, and innovation projects.

Operational Performance Reporting

  • Work with senior management and production leadership to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate performance across all levels, from investors to factory teams, including preparing and presenting non-financial KPIs.
  • Enhance KPI reporting to improve operational insight and factory efficiency.
  • Analyse and report on manufacturing performance and productivity.
  • Design and implement a detailed line and product efficiency model.

Product Costings and Gross Margin Analysis

  • Maintain complete accuracy of bills of materials at product level.
  • Manage gross margin analysis by product and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the development and use of a robust costing tool for new product launches.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly gross margin reports and reconcile performance between financial accounts and commercial reporting.

The Person:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified accountant with relevant experience
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Analytical with a strong costing focus
  • Ability to communicate with key stakeholders across all business areas
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines
