Job summary

Hata Care Services is recruiting Social Care Workers for residential accommodation for separated children seeking protection in Ireland. The role focuses on supporting independent living, education or employment engagement, and building healthy relationships with residents using the Welltree Model of Care.

The successful candidate will work 39 hours per week, day shifts including weekends, and earn starting pay of €18.00/hour, with pension, annual increments, wellbeing allowance, Sunday premium,

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 in Applied Social Care or equivalent recognised for CORU.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in social care.
• Experience with separated/vulnerable young people (13–17).
• Trauma-informed approach and commitment to child protection.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with independent skills and daily living.
• Assist with education or employment engagement.
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary professionals involved in care.
• Uphold human rights and ensure safety in a homely environment.
• Complete documentation and report on care activities.
• Provide supervision and crisis support as needed.
• Attend team meetings and maintain confidentiality.
