Job summary

Davy is seeking a Private Client Adviser within Wealth Operations (Davy Select). The role focuses on servicing a CST client base, delivering investment recommendations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will manage portfolios, coordinate with risk and compliance, and prepare client reporting. The ideal candidate has a business degree plus relevant certifications, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Masters in Business or related field.
  • Certification in Stockbroking (QFA/APA) or equivalent is required.
  • Financial services experience is essential.
  • Exceptional customer relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong investment knowledge and understanding of market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform as a Private Client Adviser for the Client Servicing Team (CST).
  • Be the first point of contact for CST clients and prospective clients.
  • Undertake Client Suitability obligations as part of ongoing regulatory assessments.
  • Engage with Risk, Compliance & Legal Teams to ensure appropriate client engagement.
  • Provide support to CST with key project deliverables.
  • Oversee and implement trades on client portfolios and manage ongoing portfolio activity.
  • Collaborate with various Davy units to address client queries and ensure account compliance.
  • Communicate investment recommendations and associated documentation to clients.
  • Prepare client reporting packages and analysis for meetings.
  • Follow up on meeting actions and document minutes.

About The Role

An exciting opportunity has opened up within Wealth Operations within the Davy Select Division. In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Perform as a Private Client Adviser for Client Servicing Team ("CST").
  • Be responsible for Client Servicing Team ("CST") client base, acting as a professional first point of contact for clients and prospective clients.
  • Undertake Client Suitability obligations as part of regulatory ongoing suitability assessment.
  • Proactively engage with Risk, Compliance & Legal Teams to ensure appropriate client engagement.
  • Provide support to wider Client Servicing Team ("CST") with key project deliverables.
  • Perform ongoing portfolio management, oversight and implementation of trades on client portfolios;
  • Engage with various Davy business units including portfolio construction and investment selection teams to address client queries, ensure account compliance and communicate asset or portfolio changes.
  • Communicate investment recommendations to clients, including all relevant documentation associated with the advice.
  • Prepare client reporting packages and analysis for client meetings;
  • Manage follow up activities from client meetings; completion of minutes of meetings and monitoring completion of tasks.
  • Liaise with Tax Advisers, Solicitors, Brokers and Life Offices on behalf of servicing our clients.
Requirements
About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • Degree or Masters in Business related area;
  • One of QFA/APA/Certificate in Stockbroking required;
  • Financial services experience;
  • Exceptional customer relations and interpersonal skills;
  • Good investment knowledge and understanding of market conditions in addition to economic outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills are required;
  • Strong general administration skills and a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Must be well organised, accurate in compiling financial data and attentive to detail;
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The position set out above is defined in the Fitness & Probity Standards issued by the Central Bank of Ireland ("Fitness & Probity Standards") as a "Controlled Function (CF)", namely CF3, CF4, CF10. Therefore there is a requirement to hold, or be willing to take one of the following exams: APA (Regulation & Investment) or Registered Stockbroker or QFA and since function relates to Pensions: APA (Pensions). In compliance with the Fitness and Probity Standards applicable to your position, any offer of employment is conditional upon you demonstrating that you meet the Fitness & Probity Standards.
