Job summary

Annapoorna Signature Pte. Ltd. in Ireland is seeking a skilled cook to prepare authentic vegetarian North Indian recipes and traditional South Indian dishes. You will weigh, mix, and grind spices to ensure uniform taste and portion sizes, and maintain high hygiene and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role requires hands-on kitchen experience with masala spices, batters, and foundation sauces, plus the ability to monitor inventory, minimize waste, and keep the kitchen well organized.

Qualifications

• Experience in authentic vegetarian North Indian recipes.
• Ability to prepare South Indian dishes and foundation sauces.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health codes.
• Valid food hygiene certificate preferred.

Job description

Requirements:

• Cook authentic vegetarian north indian recipes and traditional south Indian dishes
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients to preserve uniform taste, presentation, and portion size
• Prepare masala spices, marinades, and foundation sauces according to recipes.
• Hands-on experience in grinding batter using a wet grinder
• Blend batters in proportions according to the dish while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Check food and ingredients for freshness.
• Arrange and garnish dishes to make them look appealing to the customers.
• Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance requirements
• Monitor inventory, food wastage and implement effective portion and cost control measures
• Practice proper hygiene and sanitation.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the Head Chef.

Responsibilities:

• Good track record in similar position in F&B industry
• Good experience with preparing Indian vegetarian spice mixes and dishes.
• Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
• Possess a valid food hygiene certificate
• Able to handle work independently and as a team, in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work on rotating shifts, week ends and public holidays.
