Kilcannon Industries CLG is a social enterprise that provides employment and training opportunities as part of its social enterprise model. The organisation runs a number of enterprises including a garden centre and restaurant, sports & leisure centre, a picture framing shop and provides a number of training rooms for hire. Kilcannon Garden Centre boasts a variety of horticultural activities and operates a successful Restaurant which opens 6 days a week from 9am to 5pm.

Role Summary:

An opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Cook to join our team in Kilcannon Garden Centre Restaurant in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. The rate of pay for this role is €15.00 per hour. This role will operate Monday to Saturday and the successful candidate will be required to work 3 to 4 days a week (minimum 30 hours per week). The shift pattern for this role is 6am to 3pm.

Key duties:

  • Working with the Head Chef and other staff to coordinate and carry out the preparation of all meals.
  • Prepare, supervise and cook on assigned station of work and carrying out meal preparation as instructed by the Head Chef
  • To be fully familiar with all menus.
  • Consistently offering professional, friendly and proactive service and assistance.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Following kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Making certain that appropriate portions have been dished out and are well presented.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a cook role (essential)
  • Be currently eligible to work in Ireland (essential)
  • Hold a Chef/Cooking Qualification (desirable)
  • HACCP Qualification (desirable)
