Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to join our Dublin-based program, focusing on cloud infrastructure, automation, and enterprise networking for large-scale logistics operations.

You will work across Linux, Python and Java, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive high-availability, fault-tolerant architectures in distributed environments that support thousands of on-site users and edge devices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on systems engineering with cloud and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Proficient Python with working knowledge of Java.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX administration.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-availability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable infrastructure across regional distribution centers.
• Build cloud-native solutions using public clouds and standard DevOps methodologies.
• Create automation tooling in Python and Java to improve operational efficiency.
• Design resilient, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems using standard patterns.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Linux/UNIX, networking, storage, and distributed infra.
• Partner with network and software teams to integrate infrastructure with applications.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines, telemetry, alerting, and operational workflows.
• Contribute to enterprise-wide software initiatives and optimize production systems.
• Author/runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Operate within an Agile/Scrum delivery model across cross-functional teams.
• Drive end-to-end incident resolution and long-term fixes in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience in major public cloud environments.
• Strong foundation in cloud computing, networking, and distributed architecture.
• Familiarity with IaC and state management tooling.
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Modern observability tooling and edge/IoT deployments.
