Arcon Recruitment is seeking an Accountant for a six-month contract in Ballina, Co. Mayo, with immediate start available. The role supports a busy finance function, prepares monthly management accounts, reconciliations, VAT and payroll-related accounting, and assists with budgeting and reporting.

Ideal candidates are organised, hands-on, and able to meet reporting deadlines. Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software are essential; availability to start immediately and commit to

Qualificações

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with relevant accounting experience.
• Experience preparing management accounts and completing month-end reporting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting software.
• Availability to start immediately and commit to a six-month contract.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage month-end duties, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Assist with VAT returns and payroll-related accounting.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with audit preparation.
• Work closely with management and colleagues to meet reporting deadlines.
